California Consumer Privacy Act

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) outlines specific requirements for companies that correlate with consumer rights over their personal data. The following information reflects our processes at Step Up Bookkeeping & Tax Services in relation to the CCPA requirements.

If a user fills out our "contact form" or "request a quote form", the informaiton that they provide will be emailed to our staff and used to contact you, respond to your inquiry, and provide services in alignment with our business.

  • Right to Access and Contact Information. At any time, our clients may request a copy of all information that we have on file for them. Please submit your request in writing and mail it to our office at 165 Rio Lindo Avenue Suite 100, Chico, CA 95926. Additionally, you may call our office at (530) 809-2687 to begin an inquiry. For privacy reasons, we may require photo ID in order to receive your file. We are legally required to respond within 45 days of your inquiry and disclose all information in your file.

  • Right to be Forgotten. You have the right to request that we delete any and all personal data from our system.   • Opt-out of Data Sales and Marketing. Step Up Bookkeeping & Tax Services will never sell your information for any reason. With your approval, we will share any necessary information with the IRS and governing agencies in order to provide tax, bookkeeping, and accounting services to you or your business.

How is Client Information Stored?

All client information is stored securely in a locked filing cabinet on the premisis. Any digital copies of your information is stored with encryption and password protection to ensure safety and privacy.

How Do We Use the Information That Clients Provide to Us?

All client information provided to Step up Bookkeeping & Tax Services is used for the sole purpose of providing requested services and answering inquiries.
